Dear Community Users,

Just over one week has passed since this website first launched and no doubt you will have noticed that our Community is very different when compared with the other forums you may visit.

In the creation of this Community we reviewed several t.A.T.u. forums, I am sure that many of you will also be members there, and we decided that we wanted to build something different here. I will outline the main differences and motivating factors behind our thinking so you can better understand what we are trying to achieve within our new Community.

In the time we spent reading other t.A.T.u. forums we noticed there was a lot of fighting, a lot of petty squabbling and little to no respect between users. This lack of respect is the main motivating factor behind the differences between our Community and these other t.A.T.u. forums.

Everybody deserves respect. Our administrators, our moderators, our users and Julia. We do not disallow any subjects of discussion within our Community but we do ask that every subject is handled sensitively and with full respect.

The name "Community" was not randomly selected, it would have been easy to name this place "Forum" and continue on. Instead, we named this forum the Community in the hope that over time this is what you would all grow to become.

We want for you to connect with other fans of Julia through your support and love of t.A.T.u. and of Julia's solo career. We hope for you to become a community that is a joy to read and take part in and to build an environment that current and new users are excited to be a part of.

We look forward to reading your posts, criticisms included, all we ask is that they are worded and structured in a mature and respectable manner.

If you have any questions regarding this or any other issues you may ask them here and I'll do my best to address each one of them.

Sincerely,
Team Volkova

I believe people complain because they're not used to follow rules *or* they can't break them and want to do so. I, personally, don't see them as censoring but as a way to avoid unnecesary dramas. This is not a negative place, we don't need that kind of comments here. They are free to go to another forum and say whatever they want, but that kind of attitudes will stay away from here. I'm user in other message boards as well. I'm user on tatu.ru. That place used to be my second home. That kind of attitudes killed that place and it became impossible to stay one day there without receiving negative waves. Rules are here in order to prevent this place to become a negative one. I wish more forums would be as caring as this one is, I wish others would also have rules in order to avoid that kind of attitudes. This Community should reflect also the way Julia is and how her true fans are - she's positive and true, and we should all take her as example. I don't see anyone else complaining about the rules, but people who got warnings because they broke the rules. That says it all.

When a community grows and becomes bigger and bigger with people of different ages, different cultures, different places and ideas, there may be some fights and discussions that lead to the disrespect and the "classic insult" (when we have no valid arguments to support our view). But if each of us put our grain of sand to contribute to social peace and with the help of moderators and administrators, I have no doubt that this place will comply fully with its purpose, and we all feel comfortable and important part of the community.

I like the name Community, moreover an official supporter forum must be like this, everywhere! This is a special place as we are "official fans" because this makes the picture full about this project. If a random visitor saw a messy place as official forum it'll affect their view about Yulia and her project as well. There are so many places on the web to waste time and energy for pointless things but this one must represent something and people here must accept this when joining. If some can't, we must say Goodbye to them and continue like before. Maybe for somebody the word elite has a negative attitude, but here and now I imagine an elite who can positively influent a career, helping are common favorite's, Yulia's impact. If this idea becomes reality, this will be a real community! :)

I do too. Gives it a more "Family" feel.

I hope this place does grow into a community.
I left the other official forum because it became pointless after a while. All that was happening there was senseless arguments about nothing.
Sadly, hypocritical remnants of the other forum linger here in the most cautious way possible. But let's see. If we're lucky it might not pose a problem in the future. ;)

All in all, it seems like a nice 'Community' and I hope it grows along with the possible success of Yulia's career as a solo artist. :D
